We understand how important it is to protect your personal information. This document sets out our privacy policy in respect of personal information we hold about you and what we do with that information. Our objective is to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which includes 13 Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
We only use personal information we collect about you for the purposes for which we collected it, or as otherwise permitted by law. It is important to us that you are confident any personal information we hold about you is treated in a way that protects your privacy.
This privacy policy does not cover personal information we collect or hold about our employees.
Personal information means information or an opinion about an identified individual, or an individual who is reasonably identifiable, whether the information or opinion is true or not, and whether it is recorded in a material form or not.
The personal information we collect about you may include sensitive information, for example information about your health where it is relevant to insurance connected with your finance application. We will only collect and hold sensitive information about you with your consent, and only where we consider it reasonably necessary for, or directly related to, one of our functions or activities.
The kinds of personal information we may collect about you include your name, date of birth, contact details, address, occupation, and any other information we reasonably need to identify you.

identification documents, such as a driver licence or passport;
your credit history and credit report information;
your income, assets, liabilities and banking records;
your employment or business details, including ABN status, trading history and revenue;
insurance information relevant to the asset or property being financed;
information from your accountant, referrer or other professional adviser, where you have consented to this; and
any other personal information we reasonably require to assess your application or provide our services.
We collect personal information so we can:
assess and process your application for finance;
arrange and manage your finance with lenders and, where applicable, our aggregator;
provide our broking and related services to you;
communicate with you, lenders, referrers and other parties involved in your application;
comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, including under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws; and let you know about products, services or offers that may be of interest to you.
To maintain a successful relationship with you, we may disclose your personal information to other organisations that provide products or services used by us or by you.
Where reasonable and practical, we collect your personal information directly from you. This includes information you give us in person, by phone, by email, through WhatsApp, or through our website.
Our website includes a quote and enquiry form, and we also run enquiry forms through Meta (Facebook and Instagram) lead advertisements, which collect information such as your name, contact details, the type of finance you are seeking, and details relevant to your application. If you contact us through a social media platform, or complete a form hosted on that platform, you authorise us to collect the information you provide through that platform.
We may also collect personal information about you from lenders, our aggregator, credit reporting bodies, referrers, your accountant or other professional advisers, and other third parties involved in your finance application, where you have consented to this or it is otherwise permitted by law.
We may disclose your personal information:
to lenders and financiers, to assess, arrange and manage your finance application;

to credit reporting bodies, for the purposes described under “Credit reporting information” below;
to your accountant, broker, referrer or other professional adviser, where you have consented;
to organisations that provide services to us, such as our customer relationship management and cloud hosting providers, IT providers, and printing or postal services;
to our legal and other professional advisers;
to anyone, where you have given us your consent; or
where we are required or authorised to do so by law, for example where ASIC, AUSTRAC or another government agency or regulator requests information that we hold.
Before disclosing your personal information to another person or organisation, we will take reasonable steps to satisfy ourselves that:
that person or organisation has a commitment to protecting your personal information at least equal to our own; or
you have consented to us making the disclosure.
As a credit representative business, we may collect credit reporting information about you from a credit reporting body (such as Equifax or illion) for the purpose of assessing your application for finance and your credit worthiness. We may also disclose information about you to credit reporting bodies and to lenders for these purposes, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Privacy (Credit Reporting) Code 2014. We have taken reasonable steps to ensure your personal information remains secure with these providers.
Cloud computing is information technology infrastructure that hosts applications, software and data at offsite data centres, accessed over the internet rather than from a local computer or server. The servers used by our cloud service providers may be located in Australia or overseas, depending on the provider.
From time to time we may use your personal information to send you information about our products and services, industry news, or other offers we think may interest you. We may do this by post, phone, SMS, WhatsApp or email.

It is important to us that the personal information we hold about you is accurate and up to date. We may ask you to tell us if any of your personal information changes. If you would like to update your personal information, please contact us using the details set out in the “Complaints” section below. We will generally rely on you to let us know if the information we hold about you is inaccurate or incomplete.
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you at any time. Depending on the nature of your request, we may respond immediately, but we will generally respond within seven days of receiving your request.
There may be circumstances in which we are not required to give you access to your personal information, for example where the information relates to existing or anticipated legal proceedings, or your request is frivolous or vexatious. If we deny you access, we will explain why.
If any personal information we hold about you is incorrect, inaccurate or out of date, you may ask us to correct it. Where appropriate, we will correct the information at the time of your request. Otherwise, we will provide an initial response within seven days and, following any investigation, let you know within 30 days whether we have corrected the information. If we refuse to correct your personal information, we will tell you why.
If we collect a government identifier, such as your tax file number or Australian Business Number, we will not use or disclose this information other than as required by law, and we will never use a government identifier to identify you.
Where it is lawful and practicable, we will let you deal with us without identifying yourself, for example for a general enquiry about our services. However, to assess and process an application for finance we are required by law, including under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth) and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing laws, to verify your identity. We will not be able to provide finance broking services to you without collecting your personal information.
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information by storing it in a secure environment, whether in paper or electronic form, and by taking reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
If personal information we hold about you is affected by a data breach that we consider is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will assess the breach as soon as we become aware of it and comply with our obligations under the Notifiable Data Breach Scheme in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
